My first published images were from the Iraq War. I was an Infantry Marine once, though these days I look less like a heavy lifter, more like a heavy reader. I made it home with a small box of exposed film and some big plans for the life that lay ahead of me.

Twenty years later and I’m up to my neck in everything I’d hoped for. I’m married to a woman who makes everything better. We have two young sons; semi-feral man-cubs who will attack a man as he sleeps. We live over near Disneyland in a mid-century house with a huge dog that thinks it’s a cat and a tiny cat that thinks it’s a lion. When I’m not behind a camera I’m usually on a mountain bike or setting up our tent above a stream somewhere.

I have a pretty swell day job shooting fashion and products for a heritage womenswear brand you’ve definitely heard of.

I do still take on freelance work. If you have a project you’d like to discuss - drop me a line at Paul@PaulBennettPhoto.com
